Hanoverian Show Jumping Championships

Stars are born in Verden….
… also in the show jumping course! The Hanoverian Show Jumping Championships
were inaugurated in 1991 with the purpose „to promote the breeding of jumpers”. Since 2007, the Final of the Championships has been integral part of the show schedule of Verden International. The prize money underlines the special value of this sport challenge – the Final is endowed with more than 8,000 Euro!
The Hanoverian Show Jumping Championships are announced for four- to six-year-old Hanoverian horses. The young jumpers have to qualify for the Final with victories to be achieved in qualifying tournaments. The Championships in Verden are held in three different age-groups. The four-year-olds have to accomplish an elementary level jumper riding horse class, the five-year-olds compete in a medium level jumper riding horse class. The eldest ones fight for victory in a jump-off test. Many Hanoverian horses that still seem to be very young in these Show Jumping Championships shine later on at the international level.
